Founded in 1897, IBEW Local 5 has been leading the way for over 125 years in fighting for fair wages, pension, annuity, healthcare and industry-leading training for electricians in Western and central PA. We take pride in providing a reliable workforce in the region and safe working conditions for all our members.
We are highly skilled and well-trained electricians covering 22 counties of Central & Western PA who perform all aspects of residential, commercial, and industrial electrical work including motor control, low voltage, communications, fiber optics, HVAC control, security, fire alarm, photovoltaic, building automation, and high voltage testing.
We also represent TV broadcasting and freelance audio visual professionals for several local and national broadcast companies who operate within our region.
