In January, Local 5 distributed pins to active working members with 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 55 years of service. This annual celebration is a way to recognize the members who have helped strengthen our union through experience, mentorship, and steady leadership.

These recipients are an integral part of our local, mentoring the next generation of electricians. These most seasoned and experienced individuals are the reasons Local 5 continues its long history of professionalism and high-quality performance. Celebrating these recipients is a way of honoring the collective history they’ve built and the example they set for newer members.

One of the many highlights this year was a 55-year recipient, who is still an active member. Our gratitude for his commitment to Local 5 is immeasurable.

The Pin Ceremony is a testament of our strength and solidarity. It is a visible representation of the generations who’ve come before, setting the standard for generations that come after.
